Yes. Cancel from your account page at any time. Within 14 days of your initial purchase, you get a full refund and immediate downgrade to Free. After 14 days, no refund is issued but your PRO access continues until the end of your current billing period.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and PayPal through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, invoicing, and sales tax. Monthly billing only. No annual plans.
All scans run locally in your browser. FREE tier results are stored only on your computer (chrome.storage.local). PRO scan results are also stored on our servers for up to 90 days to support report history and email notifications. We store account data (email, subscription status, Paddle customer ID) and, for PRO users, scan result summaries. See our Privacy Policy for details.
PRO users get 100 AI credits per month (20/day cap). Each AI operation (page prioritization, smart sampling, site type analysis, or natural language query) costs 1 credit, regardless of the size of the request. Credits reset monthly on your billing date and do not roll over.
When you use AI features, we send the page URL and a truncated excerpt of page HTML (up to approximately 8,000 characters) to our server, which forwards the data to our AI provider for analysis. This excerpt may include visible text, element attributes, and page structure. We never send your personal credentials or form data from scanned pages. The HTML excerpt is not retained after AI processing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
AI analysis is opinion-based guidance, not definitive fact. AI-generated suggestions may be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific context. Results may vary between analyses. Browser notifications appear when multi-page scans complete (PRO). These are local to your computer and don't require any server resources. Email notifications (PRO) send a branded score summary to your inbox with your overall score, issue counts, and scan duration. Enable email notifications in the extension settings. Email notifications are sent for both single-page and multi-page scans when enabled.
Scheduled scans use Chrome Alarms to trigger at the time you configure. If Chrome wasn't running, missed scans fire automatically the next time you open the browser. You'll get browser notifications when scans complete.
PRO users can enable auto-AI review before starting a scan. When enabled, AI automatically analyzes your scan results as soon as the scan completes - no need to stick around. You can also manually trigger an AI review from the report viewer at any time. Each AI review costs 1 credit.

Yes. Because SCOUTb2 runs as a browser extension, it uses your existing browser session. If you are logged into a site, SCOUTb2 can scan the pages you have access to. Simply log into the site first, then start your scan.
SCOUTb2 detects when pages redirect to a login screen. After 3 consecutive redirects, the scan automatically pauses and you receive a notification. Log back into the site in your browser, then click "Resume Scan" to continue where you left off. Any pages that were inaccessible are listed in your report.
